I. Product Introduction
The QB2 flange double-port air release valve is suitable for pipelines with water as the working medium. It is used as a device for quickly removing air from the pipeline to improve the efficiency of water transmission equipment and protect the normal operation of the pipeline. It is used in places with closed air on the pipeline and at the outlet of the water pump to remove air from the pipeline to ensure smooth flow and normal operation. If an air release valve is not installed, air blockage may occur in the pipeline at any time, causing the pipeline's water discharge capacity to not meet the design requirements; secondly, when the pipeline is in operation, pump stops or power outages will cause negative pressure, leading to pipeline vibration or rupture. The air release valve can quickly draw air into the pipeline to prevent pipeline vibration or rupture.
II. Working Principle
The air release valve mainly consists of a valve body, valve, upper cover, valve stem, float, and air vent.
When it is necessary to discharge air from the pipeline, the air in the pipeline enters the cavity under the pressure of the water and is discharged from the air vent. Subsequently, the water in the pipeline fills the cavity, causing the float to move upward under the buoyancy of the water, blocking the air vent and achieving self-sealing.
During normal operation of the pipeline, the air in the water continuously enters the upper part of the air release valve's cavity under pressure, forcing the float to descend and move away from its original sealed position. At this time, air is discharged from the air vent, and the float returns to its original position for self-sealing.
III. Performance and Function
During the operation of pressure pipelines, the quick air release valve can automatically remove a small amount of air separated from the water to prevent water blockage. When negative pressure occurs in the pipeline, it can quickly intake air to prevent the pipeline from becoming unstable and damaged due to excessive negative pressure. When the pipeline is drained, it can automatically intake a large amount of air to speed up the drainage and shorten the water outage time.
